Grab Your SPF Before You Step Into the Sun

You know you have had those days when you have gone outside and forgot your SPF sunscreen. We all know that a day in the sun without protection can cause a serious sunburn. Besides the occasional forgetfulness, some people are not even aware of the importance of SPF.

SPF comes in many levels anywhere from a lower protection of 2 to a higher protection level of 50. What it does is blocks out the harmful UVB rays of the sun that causes skin damage and cancer. That is why it is so important to apply it before you step outside. Also, you want to be sure to keep applying it throughout the day, especially if you are swimming or sweating a lot. For best protection, apply it at least 20 minutes before you go outside. So, the next time you decide you would like to have a day of fun in the sun, be sure to bring your SPF because none of us want to look like Xena Warrior Princess on a bad day!
